Join our friendly team at The Coffin Bay Hotel on the picturesque Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.

Our Hotel boasts a large front bar with 8 beers on tap, outdoor area, dining room bar, gaming room and takeaway bottle shop, catering for our beloved locals and a transient population of tourists. Our dining room is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. We also offer a courtesy bus pick up and drop off service within the local area.

All positions are casual roles with rostered shifts paid at award rates. Hours will vary depending on demand.

  • Cook/Chef

    ACCOMMODATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE

    Our busy kitchen produces more than 200 meals per day during peak season. This role will report to and work under our head chef. Our hotel offers an extensive à la carte menu for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Our daily menu includes a variety of local seafood, steaks & other meats, pizzas and a variety of weekly specials. This position requires experience running multiple fryers, cooking steaks to order and coordinating junior staff.

    Requirements:

    · Experience in a similar position

    · Appropriate food handling certification

    · Ability to work split shifts

    · High level of communication

    · Efficient and reliable

    · Integrity

    Desirable (but not essential):

    · Formal Qualification – Commercial cookery (or similar)

    · Food safety supervisor certification

  • Bar Attendant

    As a member of our front of house team you will be responsible for serving tap and packaged beer, wine and standard mixed drinks in both our main bar and dining bar areas. You will also assist our kitchen in staff serving meals to tables, clearing plates and other associated duties.

    Requirements

    · Previous experience in a similar role

    · Current South Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol

    · Current manual drivers license

  • Gaming Attendant

    Our gaming attendants cover all the duties of our bar attendants in addition to maintaining our 10 gaming machines and TAB terminal.

    Requirements:

    · Previous experience in a similar role

    · Current South Australian Responsible service of Alcohol

    · Current South Australian Responsible Service of Gambling (minimum RSG1)

    · Current manual driver’s license

    · Responsible Person badge (not essential but highly desirable)

  • Kitchen Hand

    Our busy kitchen produces more than 200 meals per day during peak season. You will be responsible for checking off dockets ensuring the correct meals are served to the correct tables, delivering plates to tables, interacting with customers, clearing tables, operating a dishwasher as well as washing large pots and utensils by hand. Sweeping, mopping and general and specialised cleaning of the food preparation and greater kitchen area is also required.
